Welcome to the world of Kooragami.
In 2017 my son who was 11 at the time went walking through a Chinese New Year Festival in Arlington, Texas. It was there where he saw a shop vendor selling these small 3d origami creations. Fascinated by the triangular designs and conical shapes my interest in folding origami began.
Mixed with an engineering background, I took on a challenge to mix my love for geometry, hand-to-eye-to-hand coordination and creativity to fold and design.
As a result my love for 3d modular origami began. I want to help you see things beyond two-dimensional flat designs. This allows you to dream beyond a flat surface and assemble together what you are imagining into different dimensions and shapes.
Finally, once completed, 3d origami will teach you patience and endurance and what it truly means to fold with grace and make with love. Each design is made from my heart to yours. By learning the techniques in each kit you will grow and learn skills to build out 3-D figures of your own. Or just build the figures and have fun!!
